Empty the trap
Open the trap, tip the chamber out, and rinse it. The chamber is the part you keep, so it is worth a proper rinse before it goes back out.
Add a fresh lure and water
One lure goes into the chamber and water goes in on top of it. Close the trap and it is ready to go again. Handle the lure as what it is, not a food product, and wash your hands afterwards.
Set it back out, and mind where
Indoors, beside the fruit bowl or the bin, off any food-preparation surface and out of reach of children. Outdoors, away from flowering plants, because a scent lure can attract bees as well as the insects you are aiming at, and take the trap down while your garden is in bloom.

The FlyLock trap is reusable. Buying refills is how you keep using the chamber you already own, instead of buying a second trap just to get at the lure that came with it.
The same lure indoors and out
One lure into the chamber and the trap works the same way beside a fruit bowl as it does in a fruit tree. There is no separate indoor version to buy and no separate outdoor one.

It took me a while to realise the trap is the part you keep. Once that clicked, ordering lures on their own was obviously the right way round. Tip it out, rinse it, drop a new one in.
Nothing wrong with the ten, I just went through it quicker than I expected with two traps running. Ordering again, and this time I am taking the bigger pack.

How do I use one?
Open the trap, put one lure into the chamber, add water, close it, then stand it where you need it or hang it by the tab. If you are refilling a trap that has been in use, empty and rinse the chamber first.
Can the lure attract bees?
Outdoors, yes. A scent lure does not distinguish between insects, so in a garden it can attract bees as well as the insects you are aiming at. Hang the trap well away from flowering plants and take it down while your garden is in bloom. If you or your neighbours keep bees, think carefully about hanging a scent lure in that garden at all. Indoors this is far less of a concern, but the lure is the same lure, so the note stays here.
How long does a lure last?
We are not going to print a figure. It depends on where the trap sits and on how much traffic it sees, and any number we gave you would be a guess dressed up as a specification. Look at the chamber when you walk past it and refill it when it needs emptying.
